'The Misunderstanding’ to hit theaters in January

Iranian film ‘The Misunderstanding’ is scheduled to go on screen in January.

Ahmad-Reza Motamedi’s latest film ‘The Misunderstanding’ is set to appear in theaters in Iran beginning January 2, 2019.

The film, being Motamedi’s seventh flick, was nominated for five awards at the national competition in last year’s Fajr Film Festival.

Produced by Jalil Shaabani, the film’s storyline is about a group of film students who take a wealthy girl hostage in hopes of becoming actors.

However, the hostage situation along with the filmmaking gradually turn complicated to a point where distinguishing between reality and illusion becomes impossible.

Motamedi’s film features an all-star lineup of celebrated actors, namely Merila Zarei, Akbar Abdi, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, Kambiz Dirbaz, Pejman Jamshidi, and Hanieh Tavassoli.

Previously, writer and director Ahmad-Reza Motamedi’s movies ‘Alzheimer’ and ‘A Lunatic Fled the Cage’ were featured on ifilm.
